wHY THE PROJECT NEEDED SPONSORS

We were all responsible for raising our own funds for the trip.  Whilst family and friends helped support us in this area, we also needed to address the broader picture of the community project in Namibia. 

Over the course of two years we mounted a fund raising campaign to achieve the aims of the project.  Our original target of £10,000 was reached in November 03 and we then set ourselves a new target of £20,000.

WHAT WERE THE BENEFITS?

Our sponsors were rewarded in a number of ways:-

  • They were seen to support a unique project which demonstrates a global community spirit;
  • The expedition team endeavoured to support the sponsors' own PR initiatives;
  • We tried, where possible, to acknowledge support given by our sponsors in all promotional material (including this website).
And last, but by no means least, our sponsors had our undying gratitude, not forgetting the thanks of the people of Namibia.
